How VIP Airport Taxi handles your personal data.

VIP Airport Taxi takes your privacy seriously. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data Controller

  • 1.1

    VIP Airport Taxi (“we”, “us”) is the data controller of your personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data We Collect

We only collect the data necessary to organise your ride and process your booking:

  • Contact details: name, email address and telephone number.

  • Trip details: pickup and drop-off address, date, time, number of passengers and luggage.

  • Flight details (optional): flight number, used to monitor delays on airport transfers.

  • Payment details: payment method and payment status. Full credit-card and IBAN data are processed exclusively by our payment provider (Mollie) and never reach our servers.

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and device information, for security and fraud prevention.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

We process your data on the basis of the following legal grounds:

  • Performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): to perform your booking, to reach you and to complete the ride correctly.

  • Legal obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)): for example for tax administration (invoices must be retained for 7 years under Dutch law).

  • Legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): for fraud prevention, security and service improvement.

4. Who We Share Data With

We never sell your data. We share it only with parties needed to perform your ride:

  • Drivers: receive your name, telephone number, pickup details and (if provided) flight number.

  • Mollie Payments B.V.: our payment provider, processes your payment in accordance with their own privacy policy (mollie.com).

  • Google Maps: used for address suggestions and distance calculation. Only the entered address is transmitted.

  • Competent authorities: only where legally required.

5. Retention Period

  • 5.1

    We retain booking and trip data for up to 12 months after the ride, unless a longer period is required by law.

  • 5.2

    Invoice and payment data is retained for 7 years in accordance with Dutch tax law (Art. 52 General Tax Act).

  • 5.3

    After the retention period expires, your data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

6. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: you can request which data we process about you.

  • Rectification: you can have inaccurate data corrected.

  • Erasure: in certain cases you can request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).

  • Restriction: you can temporarily restrict processing of your data.

  • Objection: you can object to processing based on legitimate interest.

  • Data portability: you can receive a copy of your data in a common file format.

  • Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

7. Security

  • 7.1

    We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls on our systems and secure backups.

  • 7.2

    In the event of a data breach that poses a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will inform you and the Dutch Data Protection Authority without undue delay.

8. Cookies

  • 8.1

    Our website only uses functional cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work (for example, remembering your chosen language). These cookies do not require consent.

  • 8.2

    We do not place third-party tracking or advertising cookies without your explicit consent.

9. Transfers Outside the EEA

  • 9.1

    We aim to process your data within the European Economic Area (EEA). Where data is unavoidably processed outside the EEA (for example via Google Maps), this is done exclusively on the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or another appropriate safeguard.

10. Complaints

  • 10.1

    If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, please first contact us at info@vipairporttaxi.nl so we can resolve it together.

  • 10.2

    You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens — www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

11. Changes to This Policy

  • 11.1

    We may update this privacy policy when our services or applicable laws require it. The most recent version is always available on this page.
